What to Expect
All puppies are raised in our home on Camano Island alongside our horses. They are well-socialized, healthy, and ready to be adopted into the heart of your family. Puppies go home at 8 weeks of age, and puppy visits are welcome at that time.
Before your puppy goes home, we send weekly photos and videos every 7–10 days so you can watch them grow. We love keeping families connected to their pup from day one.

✅ CEA — Collie Eye Anomaly
All adult dogs are eye-checked and certified normal eyed. CEA is one of the most important genetic conditions to screen for in the collie breed.
✅ MDR1 — Drug Sensitivity
We test for the MDR1 gene mutation which causes drug sensitivity in collies. Vee has been tested N/N (normal/normal — no sensitivity).
✅ No Inbreeding or Line-Breeding
We have spent years finding beautiful, quality dogs without inbreeding or line-breeding — the most crucial factor in producing healthy family companions.

All of our dogs and puppies are AKC registered, with full pedigree documentation provided to every family.

We handpick every dog in our program. Not every collie makes the cut — we evaluate health, temperament, structure, and coat before a dog becomes part of Shamrock M Ranch Collies. This careful selection is what allows us to consistently produce puppies that are as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside.

Every puppy leaves Shamrock M Ranch Collies with a written health guarantee. All puppies are current on age-appropriate vaccinations and dewormers, with full records included in their Puppy Pack.

Our Story
We live on a 2½ acre ranch on beautiful Camano Island in Washington State — about an hour north of Seattle and an hour south of the Canadian border. Our collies are raised alongside our horses and are very much a part of our family life, not just our breeding program.
My parents raised and bred collies while I was growing up, and when I started my own family I carried on that tradition. For over 25 years, right here on this same piece of land, collies have been at the heart of our home.

We never make demands that you show your collie. We only require that you care for and love your dog like family.

Absolutely. Our dogs meet the American Collie Club Illustrated Standard and have the conformation, movement, coat, and markings of show dogs. Full AKC registration is available to approved homes who wish to show.
Rough collies have the long, flowing double coat most people recognize from Lassie. Smooth collies have a short, dense coat. We breed rough collies exclusively. Both share the same wonderful temperament — loyal, gentle, and deeply devoted to their families.
